Mechanical Fitter to join our team in NSW on a full-time basis. You will be working across 3 sites in Wetherill Park, reporting to The National Maintenance Manager.
Exciting Challenges
- As the Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your knowledge and expertise in mechanical systems and attention to detail will be critical to ensure minimum downtime and maximise equipment life, fault diagnosis, trouble shooting and prompt repairs in plant shutdowns.
ABOUT THE ROLE - Duties will include, but not be limited to:_
- _ Routine maintenance tasks._
- _ Trouble shoot and problem solve to diagnose and repair faults._
- _ Lubrication, belt tracking, replacing bearings, chains, belts, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, screw conveyors and etc._
- _ Planned shutdown maintenance tasks._
- _ Monthly stock taking of spare parts inventory._
- _ Task and job reporting in a timely manner._
- _ Cleaning of equipment as per maintenance schedules_
- _ Repairs to Pneumatic airlines and componentry_
- _ Repairs to Hydraulic Systems and componentry_
- _ Working cohesively with other trades _
- _Performing changeovers, machine adjustments and mechanical breakdowns_
- _ Machining experience_Welding experience _
We Need Your Skills
A LITTLE ABOUT YOU
To be successful within this role, you will have:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting
- Have at least 5 years Post trade experience in a similar role working with production machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and workshop drawings.
- Working at Heights trained
- Be able to work in confined spaces.
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to use Microsoft office, Excel, Word, Outlook
