My client has a unique opportunity for an Open Cut Examiner at a small to medium-sized open cut coal mining operation in Central QLD.

The Open Cut Examiner will work closely with the SSE and Production Superintendents to provide a safe environment for all production crews throughout day-to-day operations.

Other responsibilities include:

Work closely and communicate effectively with Step-up Supervisors and crew members;
Complete daily OCE reports;
Adhere to regulatory and legislative guidelines at all times;
Promote the operation's safety culture each and every day;
Work closely with the Production Superintendent to implement mining efficiencies in the pit; and

Conduct safety observations and correct behaviours/processes and promote these to your crew(s).

About You

To be successful in this role, you must possess:
Your Open Cut Examiner's practising certificate;
5+ years supervision (or step-up experience) in open cut/pit mining;
Acute people management and communication skills; and

DIDO Central QLD/Capricorn Coast or FIFO Brisbane (all expenses covered).
