About the Job


As a Principal Piping Designer in Technip Energies, you will have the opportunity to work on the brownfields engineering contract for the Shell Prelude FLNG facility.

There are further opportunities within Technip Energies to work on the emerging future energy projects.

Job description

  • Input to brownfield design for piping projects from concept through to detail design phase of projects.
  • Assist the lead Mechanical/Piping designer with inputs to estimates and ensure all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate piping designers across projects providing guidance and decision making.
  • Independently generate deliverables to project requirements
  • Review designs and documentation as required by Technip Energies check process.
  • Compliance with client requirements, Technip Energies standards & recognized industry standards with respect to design work scopes
  • Interface with construction and other engineering / design disciplines during course of project execution
  • Chair project and design team meetings as required.
  • Liaison with other Technip Energies offices with regards to piping design workscopes
  • Participate in workshops and reviews 3D Model & Constructability reviews.
  • Mentor and develop of junior team members.

About You
We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

  • +15 years in piping design role
  • Oil and gas industry experience is mandatory.
  • Significant PDMS experience
  • Previous experience in leading design teams
  • Brownfield project experience with a "construction led design" mentality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively with other team members.
  • Good Planning and organizational skills
