About the role

  • The appointee will assist in the provision of Cardiac Surgery / Thoracic Surgery for patients at The Prince Charles Hospital. The Prince Charles Hospital will assist the Cardiothoracic Surgical Registrar/Principal House Officer to develop specialist's Cardiac Surgery skills in accordance with evidence based best practice combined with regular clinical and surgical audit review; an interest in continuing education including teaching and teaching skills; an understanding of research, methods and techniques and an interest in professional development in cardiac surgery.
