About the Role:


Our client is at the forefront of the specialty coffee industry in Australia and are represented in cafes throughout most States of Australia.


They are now seeking a self-motivated, creative Design and Marketing Assistant, who is passionate about the product they are promoting, Coffee This is an autonomous role, where you will be responsible for working closely with the Management Team and regularly engaging with key stakeholders from every aspect of the business, enabling you to produce effective and impactful content for use across multiple platforms, including all facets of social media, digital, print, blogs, websites and apparel.


Proficiency in the Adobe creative suite is a must as well as a clear understanding of web development tools (such as WordPress) and SEO optimisation.

You will be based in their Sydney shop front premises, so you will also be required to manage the retail stock and serve and engage with retail customers, as required.

Duties:


  • Setting up and maintaining a Marketing Calendar with the team
  • Maintaining the marketing budget and reporting to the Marketing Director
  • Content creation assistant working with the team to create relevant "trusted voice" content that achieves recognition, respect and desire for the brand. This will include photoshoots (both inhouse and professional), videography, creation of stories, reels, videos, social media posts, website posts and blogs, etc.
  • Product and packaging design and production coordination, eg: "flavour terrains"
  • Design and sourcing of marketing material and brand collateral including printed materials, apparel, promotional merchandise and brand consumables
  • Website maintenance product updates, blogs, photos, SEO optimisation
  • Weekly newsletter and other communications as required
  • Retail stock management and retail sales
  • Assisting with planning and facilitation of industry events, workshops and cuppings

Skills and Experience:


  • Excellent attention to detail and diligent in record keeping and follow up
  • Neat, clean and professional personal presentation
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as effectively in a team
  • Accept responsibility for ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Experience in using and optimising a variety of social media platforms and associated apps
  • Proficient in the Adobe Creative suite, mainly InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop
  • Experience with web development tools (WordPress, or similar)
  • Proactive & selfdriven
  • Self motivated with a high level of problem solving ability
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
