About the opportunity:


As a member of the CSBP Kwinana Laboratory team, you will assist in the provision of analytical services to our chemical and fertiliser production businesses in our NATA-accredited laboratory.


In this important role, you will be:

  • Collecting samples from operating plants and environmental sample points.
  • Preparing samples for analysis, free from contamination.
  • Performing physical and chemical analytical testing.
  • Providing timely and accurate results to customers.
  • Following documented procedures and keeping records to ensure compliance with ISO17025 and NATA accreditation requirements.
  • Assisting in training of new staff.
  • Suggesting improvements in techniques or routines that enable more efficient use of facilities.
  • Perform routine checks on test equipment.
  • Monitor and report quality assurance and reference material tests.
  • Prioritise safety for self and others in all practices.

About you:


  • Demonstrated laboratory experience in using modern analytical procedures, including classical and instrumental techniques.
  • Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques or higher relevant qualification.
  • Sound understanding of laboratory quality systems, NATA and AS ISO 17025 and excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Current valid "C" class Western Australian driver's license
  • Current or eligible holder of Dangerous Goods Security Card
