About the Role

Build and maintain a trusted partnership and coaching relationship with the operational SLT to drive the implementation of agreed safety initiatives and strategies;
Provide expert and relevant safety advice and support on strategies to embed safety leadership, initiatives, culture and improved standards in the workplace
Provide insight and analysis on safety data and metrics for the region and use it to drive improvements and consistency across the operations;
Manage, coach and develop the team of Safety Specialists to execute the Safety strategy within the operations;
Responsible for the achievement of reduction improvement programs within the region
Develop and steer consistency and alignment in the provision of quality and consistent safety advice and support;
Educate and coach leadership teams about the Safety strategy and work plan to ensure there is appropriate commitment and support to enable its execution
Evaluate, review and report on the achievement of strategic objectives

About You

Tertiary qualifications in OHS or a related discipline
Significant experience in a safety leadership role, leading a large, geographically dispersed team within a large organisation
Ability to clearly communicate complex concepts in a simple way
Proven track record of influencing senior leadership teams to achieve safety outcomes
Proven track record of delivering on safety initiatives that have a real impact
Experience driving consistency and alignment across multiple locations
Maintaining strong relationships with business partners whilst challenging ways of working that are not in line with the safety strategy
