The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (DIT) has diverse responsibilities for transport systems and services, infrastructure planning and provision within South Australia.

Duties
The Customer Insight and Data Analyst analyses data to derive meaningful insights about public transport patronage and trends.

The Customer Insight and Data Analyst provides expert advice on a broad range of complex issues where outcomes will contribute to strategic objectives and finds innovative ways to translate and communicate statistical information through adopting interactive data visualisation tools to inform and influence the decisions of the key stakeholders.

As the Customer Insight and Data Analyst, you will require:

Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills to be able to formulate data and present to key stakeholders.
Knowledge of business/data analysis principles and concepts
Experience in data visualisation tools, specifically Power BI and Tableau
Experience working in AWS cloud environment.
Strong understanding of SQL and other databases, ability to query data from disparate data sources

Requirements:

Tertiary qualification in Data Science / Analytics / IT or comparative equivalent experience.

Special Conditions
Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel may be required.

Remuneration
ASO5 - $83,273 to $92,614 per annum
