    EMERGENCY SERVICES OFFICER – Peak Gold Mine

    About Us

    Aurelia Metals Limited (ASX: AMI) ('Aurelia') is an Australian gold and base metals mining and exploration company. We own and operate two underground mines and processing facilities in New South Wales (NSW) and have an enviable portfolio of organic growth prospects in the region.

    Our Peak Mine comprises several underground polymetallic (gold, lead, zinc, copper, and silver) and an 800 thousand tonnes per annum (ktpa) processing plant. The Mine is located in the northern Cobar Basin in western NSW, a short distance from the historical town of Cobar.

    The Role

    The key objective of this position is the provision of site Security, Emergency Services and First Aid support services to business units of the Peak Gold Mine. Ensure that safety is paramount in everything we do which will improve shareholder awareness.

    This role is offered on a 7/7 Rotating Day/Night roster - Cobar Residential Role

    Key Responsibilities

    • Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training.
    • Conduct and maintain Site Security & Access
    • Monitor and review site security
    • Respond to emergency situations, mobilise assistance as required and join a First Response Team responding to the incident
    • Assisting in ensuring that emergency management resources such as people, equipment, policies, procedures, and plans meet the strategic needs of the business and site-specific requirements
    • Manage and maintain Emergency and First Aid equipment with daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and audits
    • Perform on-site Drug, Alcohol and Hydration screening
    • Maintain accurate shift reports and registers in line with security standards
    • Adhering to confidentiality policy at all times
    • Actively participate in the Mine Rescue Team (Min 12 training sessions annually)
    • Carryout inspections on rescue critical equipment
    • Maintain the Cardex and PSD logistics databases with regards to employee site access
    • Provide First Aid as required across all Peak Gold Mine Sites and Leases
    • Maintain the First Aid room and ensure all equipment and stock level are ready to provide the highest level of care

    About you

    • A minimum of two years relevant mining/industry experience
    • Ability to produce a National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months) for site access purposes.
    • Current unencumbered 'C' Class Driver's Licence
    • HLTSS Occupational First Aid Skill Set or equivalent qualification
    • NSW Security Clearance
    • HLTPAT005 – Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing qualification
    • Behaviour consistent with Aurelia Metals Values
    • Previous experience in Emergency Services; Ambulance, Police, Fire Fighting or Mines Rescue advantageous
    • HLT Certificate IV in Health Care (or equivalent) desirable
    • NSW Security Licence desirable
    • High Level of Computer skills – MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work autonomously and within a team with minimal supervision
