    _ fulltime maternity relief 12month contract position_, is a hands on role working with youth year old's) with intensive support to gain employment or further education.
  • Mai Wel is the region's leader in terms of employment outcomes for youth of the Hunter, having secured the Federal TTW contract, you will be working within a highly experience team.
  • We are looking for that person who loves having meaningful conversations with youth in need of support, someone with an ability to write a great resume, work with youth with limited or zero experience to create employment pathways. We need a dedicated, sometimes outside of the box thinker with a passion for employment and youth.
  • The Role:
  • Provide vocational guidance to youth participants
  • Work with participants to help identify their vocational and employment goals and implement these through the development of a Job Plan
  • Maintain participant engagement and connect them to specialist employment providers
  • Utilise government incentives to facilitate the building of capacity through education
  • Provide one on one and group training programs
  • Effective reporting and communication
  • Working towards sustainable employment outcomes for participants

The Person:

  • Ability to complete the 12month fulltime contract
  • Ability to be able to connect with young people
  • Ability to keep in touch with the local labour market
  • Work with participants to help identify their vocational and employment goals and implement these through the development of a Job Plan
  • Confident to deliver employability skills workshops/programs in one on one and group settings, in conjunction with local employers
  • Manage a diverse caseload of participants
  • Proficient administration and computer skills in essential
  • Current Driver's License
  • Currently hold or have ability to gain Working with children clearance and NDIS Worker Screening
  • Effective communication skills
