Key Responsibilities

Assist with the procurement, storage, distribution and dispensing of all medicines and consumables including those used in the preparation of chemotherapy.
Manage the procurement and supply of medicines to wards and departments including management of automated medicine dispensing units
Maintain accurate and uptodate patient dispensing records
Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Provide support to patients and their families

Essential

Previous pharmacy experience (Certificate III or IV) or a strong sciencebased background.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all members of the health care team, patients and carers, contractors and vendors.
An appreciation of the principles of medication safety.
