About the role:


As an Events and Engagement Officer, you will be the go-to person for Regional Women NSW for Communications, Social media posts, and promoting small events events in regional areas such as Women's Week.


Your responsibilities within the role:


  • Create and distribute a biweekly newsletter to keep stakeholders up to date.
  • Write copy for different channels.
  • Manage 5 social media platforms using tools like Sprout Social and Canva to create tiles.
  • Coordinate smallscale events located across NSW and help with some larger events on occasion.
  • Stakeholder engagement with media outlets for event coverage.
  • On occasion, participate in interviews (media experience desirable, training can be provided).
  • Prepare event briefs and reports.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in Digital/Social Media, Communication and engagement roles.
  • Strong copywriting skills, and previous experience in stakeholder engagement are a must.
  • You will be located in Regional/Rural NSW
  • Previous experience using Sprout Social and Canva.
  • Happy to travel to events when required.
  • Previous experience in Council or Government roles.
  • Hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency is a must.
