Our client is seeking to engage an Accounting Analyst on a contract until February 2024, with potential 12 months extension.
Located at Alexandria, NSW, Initially In office and then Hybrid:

Position Overview
***To support and contribute to the achievement of the Retail/Finance business strategies by providing accurate, efficient, and timely accounting, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting services that meet service level agreements to the departments and senior management on a monthly, half yearly and annual basis. These services will be provided in accordance with accepted Australian and International accounting standards, policies, controls, and processes.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Retail and B2B Manager in owning/understanding the Business Department/company financials (actuals/forecasts), providing accurate, efficient, and timely reports to senior management including but limited to R LT on a monthly, half yearly and annual basis.
- Assist with preparation of timely and accurate general ledger account balances, account reconciliations, monthly actual and forecast reports, including compilation and variance analysis of department financials.
- Assist with the process and review accounting data/journals to prepare account reconciliations, initiate corrective actions as required and follow up outstanding balances.
- Assist with preparation of the Business unit/consolidated annual budget.
- Proactively work with customers to manage their needs, expectations, and deliverables.
- Support the process of continuous improvement of reports and accounting processes (including automation).
- Provide analysis and contribute to ad hoc projects to support the business as required.*** completed a degree in Business, Accounting, Commerce or Economics
- at least three years' experience in a Finance role
- strong levels of communication and problem-solving skills
- experience using the Microsoft 365 suite of software, including Excel, Outlook, and Teams
