WHAT YOU'LL DO:

At BCG, we communicate with client, external and internal audiences.

In this newly created role, you will work with the Communications Senior Manager and the ANZ system lead with an initial focus on internal communication for the BCG Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) system.

Our ANZ system is made up of diverse and mobile employee cohorts who work across offices in Auckland, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney.


You will work with the ANZ System lead, other senior leaders, and other business areas, to drive clear, consistent and engaging communication across the ANZ system and keep our people informed about our business.


With an initial focus on culture, connection, collaboration and BCG's values, you will help to engage our people and deliver impact by shaping and delivering key messages and content using existing and new communication channels and platforms.

You will also contribute to the broader work of the Communications and Marketing teams for client and external audiences.


YOU'RE GOOD AT:


The scope of your role and your responsibilities will grow and evolve, but initial duties will include:

  • Help to develop and execute a cohesive and high-impact internal communication strategy
  • Write clear and compelling content that can be tailored and deployed across a range of communication channels, including Town Halls, Slack, newsletters, events, meetings, digital platforms, video scripts, speaking and briefing notes
  • Guide the channel mix to distribute communications across ANZ
  • Align key messages across channels, thought leadership, People & Culture initiatives and broader commercial updates
  • Connect our people with our values, leaders, business and brand
  • Develop and maintain a calendar of internal communications across the year, aligning with milestones and events
  • Work with the ANZ Marketing team to align messages across internal and external communication channels
  • Develop and maintain a metrics and reporting mechanism to evaluate impact and engagement, and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Build best practice and guiding principles for internal communications to ensure consistency across tone, process and operations
  • Work in partnership with the ANZ People Team to promote an inclusive culture that reflects BCG's values, is transparent, and celebrates employee achievements and milestones
  • Support the Communications team with client and external communications activities
  • Support broader ANZ projects and initiatives

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS):

  • 5+ years relevant work experience in communications gained in a matrixed, fastpaced environment
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with senior leadership to develop and implement communication materials
  • Exceptional written communication skills, and the ability to write effectively for technical and nontechnical audiences, and to varying levels of seniority
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills (responsive, intuitive and with a high level of emotional intelligence)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong editing skills and command of language, tone and meaning
  • High attention to detail
  • Capability in MS Office
  • Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative and team orientated attitude
  • Rigorous time management skills, with the willingness and flexibility to perform a wide range of tasks and embrace new ideas
  • Strong project management skills, with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • The ability and the ability to navigate complex information and ambiguity
  • A strong sense of confidentiality, high levels of integrity and the ability to operate with discretion and as a trusted advisor
Our business management and operations team members work to ensure that BCG is running smoothly, efficiently, and productively.

We are made up of executive and administrative (or case team) assistants, visual service artists, receptionists, facilities staff, and the team leaders and office coordinators who manage these operations and business management jobs.
