About WSA


Come and join the Western Sydney Airport team delivering Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, the lynchpin of the extraordinary transformation currently underway to develop Sydney's third city and Aerotropolis.


One of the largest infrastructure projects underway in Australia, Western Sydney International will open to international, domestic and air cargo services in late 2026 and will eventually grow to be one of Australia's biggest gateways to the world.


About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager Airline Partnerships, this is a high impact role

on a specialist commercial team, responsible for delivering the Airline

Engagement Program and ensuring WSA meets and exceeds passenger

forecast and financial targets by partnering with a wide range of

Domestic and International airlines.

The Airline Engagement program comprises a broad set of commercial

workstreams to evaluate, plan and execute a range of diverse inputs

required to develop revenue generating partnerships with major airlines

around the world.

The Commercial Analyst role will directly contribute to finalising the

commercial aeronautical strategy and executing a range of substantial

aeronautical commercial agreements in the lead up to WSA's opening in

2026.


About You
We'd like to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Tertiary qualified in Commerce, Finance, Engineering, Business or Economics.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of the aviation industry, supported by previous experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, strategic, consulting or similar roles.
  • Preferably experience in the airline or other aviation industries.
Outstanding business and commercial acumen, particularly with data analysis and interrogation

  • Highly developed analytical and financial modelling skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to develop error checking methodologies
  • Proven track record in building trusting and collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • A high energy individual who is driven to success.
  • An ability to cope with ambiguity and remain resilient, flexible and outcome focused in a high pressure environment.
  • Effective organisational skills including planning, measuring progress, and being agile to ensure conflicting priorities are effectively managed.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of the team.
  • A demonstrated passion for the WSA project and an understanding of the boarder economic impact for the Western Sydney community.
