Full-Time Electronic Equipment Trades Worker

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electronic Equipment Trades Worker to join our dynamic team in MAROOCHYDORE QLD 4558.


Current Opening:

This opportunity is a full-time position (38 hours per week).

Position Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Conduct thorough diagnostics, including printed circuit board (PCB) diagnostics, to identify faults and issues within electronic equipment and systems.
  • Rigorously test electronic equipment and systems to ensure functionality and integrity before and after repairs or modifications.
  • Utilise QNX coding and commanding to test modules and ensure compatibility within vehicle systems.
  • Identify and repair firmware glitches within electronic equipment and systems to ensure stability and functionality.
  • Repair and replace worn and defective parts and wiring, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Utilise specialised equipment and techniques for ball grid array (BGA) reballing and rework on electronic components.
  • Instal electronic equipment and systems in luxury vehicles such as Audi, VW, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche and others.
  • Work proficiently with diagnostic computers and specialised software to interface with vehicle electronic systems.
  • Set up diagnostics stations and precollision systems (PCSs) for efficient diagnostics, repairs and testing.
  • Reassemble equipment after repairs, conduct test operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper functionality and performance.
  • Make wiring harnesses and testers based on automotive wiring diagrams to facilitate diagnostic and testing processes.
  • Advise clients on correct operating procedures for electronic equipment and systems, imparting knowledge to prevent malfunctions and optimise usage efficiency.
  • Document repairs meticulously, maintaining detailed records of diagnostic procedures, repairs performed and parts replaced.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Degree in electronics or a related technical field
  • Certificate III in Electronics and Communications or other relevant certifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in diagnosing and repairing electronic equipment and systems
  • Familiarity with diagnostic computers and specialised software for vehicle electronic systems
  • Experience with BGA reballing, circuit board PCB diagnostics and QNX coding is desirable but not essential
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail

Salary:

The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $80,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
