**How will I help?
**An excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Associate Director, Credit Analyst to join Westpac's Institutional Bank (WIB) in the Customer Insights & Analytics team within our Corporate & Institutional Bank (CIB). T he primary responsibility of this Senior Credit Analyst role is to efficiently manage a portfolio of non-bank financial institutions (NBFI) and Financial Institutions (FI) customers.


You will partner with Relationship Managers, Senior Stakeholders, and clients to deliver credit analysis and will be trusted to provide value-add industry insights.

You will support on the origination and structuring of a range of new banking transactions as well as the ongoing monitoring, management of the existing customer portfolio to ensure our clients' needs are met


You will also:

  • Write credit submissions including detailed risk analysis, assessment and recommendations and be able to present and negotiate submissions through WIB's risk management decision process
  • Manage credit and portfolio risk including preparation of annual reviews, actioning triggers and monitoring covenants
  • Monitor and research market and industry trends and provide relevant industry insights and thought leadership to internal and external stakeholders
  • Bring indepth industry knowledge to lead, coach and develop more junior colleagues

What do I need?

You will have extensive experience in wholesale banking or a related field with experience in credit writing and credit assessment.

You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while building relationships with a variety of stakeholders and external clients.


Some further advantageous skills:

  • Detailed understanding of the NBFI and FI space
  • Deep expertise in the insurance and funds sectors in particular would be highly regarded
  • Understanding of wholesale banking products
  • Tertiary qualified in an analytical focused field such as finance, business, or economics
