The Credit Assistant is primarily responsible for assisting Credit Control in managing accounts receivable via the processing of all account settlements, collection and reconciliation of payments and assisting with account inquiries.
In addition, financial support is required for the preparation of monthly accounts and reporting requirements for the Hotels Finance team.
The allocation and updating of FDC/Opera deposits/payment. The raising and collection of Corp AR invoices. Managing the frequent flyer programs, payment, point allocation and guest queries. Reconciliation and prompt payment of TA/Event commissions.Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and distribute Hotel accommodation and Crown Conference Centre invoices and statements.
- Follow up and timely collection of outstanding accounts in accordance with key performance indicators.
- Conduct guest account reconciliations and settlements.
- Appropriately manage the archiving storage of supporting and contractual account documentation and contact details.
- Posting, editing, updating and balancing of all accounts in the Accounts Receivable ledger of the OPERA PMS (Property Management System).
- Invoicing, reconciling and settlement of Crown intercompany accounts, accommodation/stays (Melbourne, Perth and Sydney)
- Coordinate training for new Front Office, Reservations, Group reservations and conferencing staff. Provide coaching to Front Office, Reservations, Group Reservations and Conferencing staff regarding the internal control process, advising them of correct procedures, changes to procedures and current or emerging issues as well as refresher training when required.
The following criteria will be considered when reviewing applicants:
- Extensive customer service experience, ideally in a Hotel Front Office/Reservations environment.
- Working knowledge of OPERA (PMS) Property Management System is essential.
- Strong computer skills with a sound knowledge of MS Office suite of products (i.e. Advanced Excel, Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
