About this opportunity


As the Sales Manager, your focus will be on managing your team to achieve sales targets and build their sales pipeline.

You will work collaboratively with the Sales Lead and the product and commercial teams to identify growth opportunities as well as inspiring your team to go above and beyond their sales targets.

This role also places a large emphasis on customer service and developing strong and ongoing client relationships in a growing industry.


About you
We're looking for a commercially savvy, hard-working, self-starting sales manager. You will be a proactive, driven individual who is adaptable and flexible in your approach.

You will have proven experience managing a sales team and have insight into how to adapt your coaching styles to get the best from your team.

As a great communicator, you will demonstrate superior customer service and high attention to detail, capable of organising and prioritising your responsibilities and working to tight deadlines.

You will have a positive attitude and be self-motivated, able to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

You understand the value of building relationships, leaving a positive impression and always acting in the best interests of the client.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Working with the Sales Lead to set sales targets for your team
  • Managing and coaching your sales team to reach their targets and achieve their goals
  • Ensure the sales team achieve their qualitative and quantitative goals, including entering data into Salesforce accurately, collaboration across teams and internal teamwork within sales.
  • Work with the Sales Lead and the product and commercial teams to identify new business and revenue opportunities
  • Ensure pipeline is managed in line with the process
  • Work with the Sales Lead to manage resource allocations
  • Developing an in depth understanding of the industry, the trends and market forces
  • Attending relevant industry related networking events
  • Developing positive relationship with all relevant industry associations and key governing bodies
  • Preparation and delivery of sales progress reports to key stake holder

Desired Skills and Experience:


To ensure your success in this role you will have:

  • A proven track record in driving B2B sales into new market segments, and maximising revenue from existing key accounts.
  • Proven experience in managing a sales team including ability to coach and mentor
  • Proven experience in pipeline management and resource allocation
  • Ability to build a high performing, motivated and engaged team
  • Experience in advertising, exhibition or event sales preferred
  • Strong background in creating and presenting a strong sales pitch with the ability to adapt to market feedback.
  • Practice in representing face to face across all levels of business.
  • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with using Sales Force preferred.
  • The willingness to travel and work away from home when required, including onsite at the event.
