    About the role
  • Dorevitch Pathology Haematology department in central Heidelberg Laboratory is seeking a laboratory assistant to join our dynamic team parttime position (15 hours per week). The successful applicant must be team focused, selfmotivated individual capable of working in a very busy environment.

The laboratory assistant will be involved in:

  • Operating a variety of hematology equipment
  • Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Running patient samples
  • Performing manual testing
  • Assisting in the management of stock.

About you

  • To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work as a team
  • Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately
  • A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
  • Haematology background (TAFE certificate) would be advantageous
