About the role
Dorevitch Pathology Haematology department in central Heidelberg Laboratory is seeking a laboratory assistant to join our dynamic team parttime position (15 hours per week). The successful applicant must be team focused, selfmotivated individual capable of working in a very busy environment.

The laboratory assistant will be involved in:

Operating a variety of hematology equipment
Performing basic maintenance and troubleshooting
Running patient samples
Performing manual testing
Assisting in the management of stock.

About you

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
The ability to cope and thrive in a busy environment
Ability to work with mínimal supervision and work as a team
Understanding the importance of following procedures accurately
A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures
Haematology background (TAFE certificate) would be advantageous
