The Role


Are you ready to take the reins and lead our Conference & Events team to new heights? An exciting opportunity awaits as we search for a passionate Events Manager to step into the spotlight.

As our Events Manager, you'll be at the helm, guiding our talented Event Sales team to soar to success.

Your mission? Maximizing sales, boosting conversion rates, and seizing every opportunity to cultivate fresh business ventures while ensuring our clients are thrilled with every experience.


Your role is pivotal:

providing clear direction, unwavering support, and inspiring leadership to forge a team dedicated to smashing KPIs, surpassing departmental goals, and hitting targets with finesse.

Talent Profile


Responsibilities:


  • Develop a strategic sales plan in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, and Sales team, to grow new business conversion levels and maximise revenue opportunities within your portfolio across the hotels M&E spaces.
  • Quote, negiotate and contract a portfolio of events to ensure personal revenue targets for the year are achieved.
  • Focus on innovation, working with the Director of Food & Beverage and Executive Chef to ensure the product offering across the Hotel is current and of appealiong to your market(s).
  • Responsible for working with the Director of Sales & Marketing in the preparation of your team's targets and implementation of sales plan.
  • Effective yield management of the event space.
  • Constantly look for ways to improve both the service we offer withing catering sales and operationally.
  • Be aware of industry trends and feedback to the team fostering a proactive well informed culture.
  • Ensure thorough follow up and entry into Opera Sales and Catering takes place after all events and actively follow up to ensure repeat business.

Client Responsibilities:


  • Actively manage a portfolio of clients and prospect new clients in order to secure future business for the Hotel.
  • Distribute enquiries and leads to your team and the Event Sales team in line with accounts assigned to them, redistributing workload where necessary to ensure all associates are able to perform to the required standard.
