Your opportunity

As a Treatment Facilitator (PUP), you'll engage and support your clients in their individual case management and Alcohol and Other Drug counselling, facilitate clinical modules (including Parents Under Pressure groups) with the wider residential community and provide treatment and support throughout their journey.

_What does this mean? _

You'll be working within a large multidisciplinary team, who are client focused, have a drive to learn and improve so you'll need to hit the ground running.

This is a role that has a big impact.

You'll thrive in this fast paced environment, managing sometimes complex client needs and behaviours and will be working with adults with a range of AOD, mental health or other life skills needs - helping them to increase their confidence and skills in parenting.

You will also support other Treatment Facilitators to work with the clients in managing the parenting aspect of their journey.

As a senior member of the wider team, you will also provide support and direction to the Support Workers, and you will also be required to
work a swing shift once a week from 1pm-9pm where you will be the lead.

You will also take on a further responsibilities from time to time, including stepping up as proxy for the Team Leader for periods of Leave, or to attend meetings on their behalf.

You'll leave a positive wake when:

  • You provide high quality engagement, assessment and support services to clients and their families using evidence-based practice principles
  • You've built positive relationships with your clients, enabling them to get the most out of the program and make positive change in their lives.
  • You're able to navigate the challenges of complex clients, creating solutions and adapting on the spot.

What you'll bring

While we'd love for you to be PUP trained, we do require someone with experience working with families, with a parenting focus for this role.

You're flexible and resilient with a positive open mind, with a focus on working collaboratively.

You are a seasoned professional, from a social work, psychologist or counselling background in the Not For Profit space, and you're passionate about helping people, providing a safe place and holistic support that can have an impact on peoples lives - you enjoy working together as a team, and love a challenge.

As this is a clinical role, there are some 'must haves':

  • Tertiary qualifications in social work, counselling or mental health
  • Applied knowledge in contemporary evidence based AOD clinical practice
  • Demonstrated expertise in residential treatment service delivery with a sound knowledge of the potential risk elements specific to this type of environment.
  • Highly developed communication and engagement skills.
  • Experience in developing and delivering education programs and group facilitation.
  • A flexible and collaborative approach to working within a team.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and professional development
While not essential, we'd also love you to have:

  • Parents Under Pressure certification
  • Experience in counselling approaches with AOD experience
Importantly, you'll live and breathe our values, which means:

  • You are humble, human and full of hope.
  • You show up and share.
  • You ask: Why not? And what's next?
  • You leave a positive wake.

Why? We believe that through these values, we do our best work - for each other, for clients, and for the communities we work in.

And it's a promise we make to you about the kind of experience you will have working for us.
