The purpose of this role is to support our Case Management teams by providing up-to-date technical guidance and injury management support in the Comcare scheme.

This role provides coaching and mentoring support to Case Managers, manages relationships with treatment providers, and leads and implements injury management projects and initiatives across the business unit.

This will be a
Full-time, permanent position, based in
the Newcastle office, with flexibility to work from home.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide specialist Injury Management coaching and one on one support to team members regarding claims management strategy and treatment approvals
  • Reviewing and providing feedback about current claims management practices and procedures ensuring emerging trends are identified and managed
  • Lead and manage Injury Management projects and initiatives to support the continuous improvement of claims management practices
  • In conjunction with the Team Leader identify, develop and implement effective strategies to support the achievement of key performance and remuneration measures
  • Building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

ABOUT YOU

  • Relevant qualifications in Allied Health (physiotherapy, exercise physiology, exercise science, occupational therapy or equivalent)
  • Experience in a clinical or rehabilitation setting
  • Experience in managing relationships and competing stakeholder priorities
  • Experience in coaching and supporting peers
  • Understanding of workers compensation practices and the _Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 1988 _(SRC Act)
