About this opportunity


As a supply planner located at our Hornsby Contract Manufacturing site you will build strong collaborative relationship with customers, planning and production teams to assist in aligning purchasing, demand and supply planning.

You will assess, maintain master data and implement innovations and developments on our existing personal and home care products.

You will work closely with internal & external stakeholders based on customer orders and forecasts to ensure targets and customer satisfaction are achieved.


Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Analyze demand including sales orders & forecasts in SAP, identify supply risks and work out the recovery plan with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Carry out clear and effective communications between customers and the business, highlight any supply risks on a timely basis.
  • Identify and address the reasons for any potential supply risks promptly then provide alternative plans to customers to approve on a timely basis.
  • Discuss forward production plans with internal team to identify potential problems and resolve the issues at an early stage.
  • Ensure that products are being made in time and discuss with customers their order priorities.
  • Perform root cause analyses of DIFOT misses, out of stock and aged stock situations and implement improvements.
  • Raise purchase orders with suppliers in a timely manner. Communicate with suppliers for expediting or delaying orders to ensure packaging is available as per the production schedule
  • Assess profitability and feasibility of innovations and developments on existing products through product costing and coordination with the production team
  • Assist and support Internal Audits and External Audits.

Your skills and experience

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • High level interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively with the team
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SAP or other ERP system with the ability to embrace and learn modern technology.
  • Experience in a similar role, FMCG will he highly regarded.
  • High level attention to detail and problemsolving skills as well as strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot table etc.
  • Organizational and time management skills with willingness to deliver to deadlines.
