About this role
Brunel Australasia are currently partnering with one of Australia's leading natural gas producers.

They have a great reputation for creating a safety-focused culture, whilst they expand their operations in Queensland's onshore gas reserves.


Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver agreements with landholders on time, within budget and with efficient and effective terms and conditions
  • Accountable for delivering legal agreements for access to land in compliance with relevant legislation including Conduct and Compensation Agreements and Easements.
  • Accountable for ensuring a professional standard for all internal and external written and verbal correspondence (including correspondence to external lawyers).
  • Escalate issues to Land Access Special Advisor (as required) to ensure issues are dealt with promptly
  • You may be required to take a focal role operating and maintaining internal land access systems used by the team
  • Able to work with a high level of autonomy and with changing priorities within broad objectives
  • May be required to delegate for Land Access Special advisor

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in commercial, law, business or a related field.
  • Proven experience in commercial negotiation and complex problem solving in a large corporate, service or professional service environment.
  • Substantial experience in land access or propertyrelated work (preferably in the CSG industry)
  • Experience in the management and mitigation of nontechnical risks
  • Mastery level drafting skills
  • Experience in major project development and demonstrated understanding of issues that impact a large resource development.
  • Comfortable representing the business in interactions with external stakeholders and counterparties
  • Demonstrated track record of bringing a strong commercial focus to address regulatory and operational risk.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strategy for resolving grievance issues in a timely way.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Land Access Code, P&G Act and other appropriate legislation
  • Understanding of rural business practices
  • Ability to travel as required to travel to the field and to other Queensland based sites and regional centres to meet with colleagues, landholders and their legal representatives

- $850 per day including super
