As the

Logistics Network/Category Manager reporting to Global Heads of Logistics, your main responsibility is to oversee the global freight, regional purchasing, and 3rd party warehousing strategy. Your goal is to ensure that the necessary products are available for manufacturing or to customers whenever needed. the logistics network is optimized through the implementation of robust 3rd party freight and warehousing contracts.


This pivotal role serves as a crucial link between the regional/in country leadership teams and the global 3PL service providers in the logistics organization.
With your opportunistic, enthusiastic, and energetic mindset, you will be responsible for leading the 3PL spend category. Your role involves developing and executing agile global Category Management Plans with a forward-looking 1-5-year period.

The ultimate goal for you will be to create value by reducing operating costs, minimizing risk, and meeting strategic business requirements.


As a leader with strong influencing and negotiation skills, you will take charge of the selection and assessment process, involving Procurement and other important business stakeholders.

You have the ability to guide others in carrying out a plan that fulfills the needs of all stakeholders.

You can develop and implement KPIs that accurately measure and report on the service delivery and financial performance of each global 3PL service provider.

As an independent worker, you can proactively identify future project initiative opportunities by facilitating or participating in opportunity workshops. Additionally, you can conduct spend analysis and align the outcomes with the organization's strategic direction and requirements. Your customer-centric approach allows you to anticipate and capitalize on potential opportunities for future projects.


Key Technical Criteria:


  • Tertiary qualifications in related fields or business
  • Experience in heavy industry / manufacturing
  • Experience in a logistics / planning / execution role
  • Experience leading a globally dispersed team.
  • Knowledge of legislation, policy governing global warehousing logistics
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate collaboratively across all levels.

This role will be based in Brisbane or Newcastle Australia
