About Western

We understand the key to your success is unlocking your true potential - just as we do with our students.

Our 3,500 staff members work together to enable a dynamic, inclusive and innovative culture that is distinctly research-driven and student-centred.

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Support and Compliance Coordinator to provide high level project, administrative and compliance support and coordination of relevant research-based activities across the University's Research Institutes and Strategic Research Initiatives (SRIs).

You will develop project scopes for assigned projects, identify risks and compliance requirements, prepare business cases and other documentation as required.

You will ensure effective reporting of Divisional (Research, Enterprise and International), and Institute/SRI projects by using University standard templates and polices and utilise project management methodology to coordinate, monitor and follow up project progress as required by the Institute Manager.

You will maintain and champion an awareness of contemporary approaches and developments in the audit and risk management areas that relate specifically to the Division and Institutes, and the University as a whole.

About You

To be successful in the role, you will hold a relevant degree and/or equivalent professional administrative/project support/compliance training and extensive demonstrated experience in a similar role in a large and complex organisation.

You will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including an established record of working independently, exercising initiative, interpreting policy and procedures, and providing advice.

High level written communication skills, including the ability to prepare project reports and respond to routine and non-routine correspondence are critical to the role.
