  • Undertake adhoc and scheduled inspections and audits of work areas, develop reports and provide timely recommendations to leaders and teams to rectify areas of concern.
  • Develop and implement risk and compliance controls including monitoring and reporting against key activities to plan across site.
Where required, identify workplace incidents, undertake investigations, complete cause analysis to further develop & communicate learnings for improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure onboarding and induction processes are comprehensive and consistent for the entire workforce and that team members are set up for success from commencement of employment.

  • Tertiary qualifications in safety, risk or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience working in heavy industry, preferably mining with a proven track record of establishing successful and practical HSE systems, policies, and processes.
  • Sound understanding of Workplace Health & Safety legislation, standards, and codes of practice, preferably within the Northern Territory jurisdiction.
  • A genuine commitment to the health, safety and wellbeing of teams and a pragmatic approach to ensuring HSE systems and processes support a positive leadership and safety culture.
