About the Role
Bayside's parks and gardens are high profile and their presentation exemplifies our commitment to residents and visitors alike.

This role is pivotal to ensuring that not only are planned programs implemented and adhered to BUT the trees teams are agile and responsive to unplanned requests for parks and gardens tree maintenance.


You will achieve this by:

  • Supervising and guiding your team and providing adequate resources to deliver the tree maintenance program.
  • Conducting daily worksite inspections to monitor and ensure delivery of works in line with maintenance schedules and timeframes and compliance requirements
  • Providing regular reports on program status, performance and resource levels to enable management to address identified risk and compliance issues.
  • Managing and monitoring service delivery of providers and contractors to ensure standards are met within appropriate specifications
  • Providing team feedback relating to the quality of maintenance undertaken and implement strategies to improve delivery of quality outcomes.
  • Managing the Client Relationship Management system to monitor the scheduling and completion of works.
  • Promoting the positive and collaborative culture and values of the organisation through open, fair and transparent decision making and ethical, professional behaviour.
  • Working in collaboration with and assist the team, manager and other key stakeholders to achieve business unit goals, work requests, demands and Council priorities.

About You

  • Minimum Cert III in Arboriculture and relevant experience.
  • Leadership qualification (desirable) with evidence of having led teams of blue collar workers.
  • A SafeWork NSW White Card (General Construction Induction card).
  • Current Driver's Licence Class C minimum.
  • The ability to work outside of normal hours as required.
  • Hold a current ChemCERT licence or obtain within the first 3 months of employment.

Salary Range:
Grade 10 - $75, $84, gross) per annum plus 10.5% superannuation & a tool of trade vehicle.
