Major Responsibilities
To be responsible for the entire verification lifecycle, including:

  • Estimation, planning and tracking of automated verification activities
  • Analysis, review and approval of software requirements
  • Defining, communicating and executing the verification strategy
  • Champion automated test infrastructure to facilitate implantation of automated verification strategies
  • Creation, review and approval of automated verification test cases
  • Facilitating and maintaining the automation of verification test suites/cases
  • Definition and establishment of appropriate verification environment(s) and supporting tool infrastructure
  • Execution of automated verification, and the capture of appropriate result evidence
  • Defect management, triage, reporting and resolution
  • Documentation, analysis and stakeholder reporting of verification activities
  • Validation of automation tools and frameworks

In addition, participate and drive the following activities:

  • Team capability building via mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assess, communicate and mitigate risks and issues
  • Review and improve relevant quality management system procedures, forms and templates

Required Education, Experience, Skills

  • Certificate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Acquired ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL), or equivalent
  • Competently able to demonstrate best practice implementation of automation frameworks, tools and techniques (e.g. User Interface, API, Database, Firmware)
  • Prior experience performing verification activities using test automation on medium to large projects or programs or work
  • Experience in executing, and leading verification at a component, system, integration, and/or acceptance verification level
  • Can articulate and demonstrate different Software Development Life Cycles, whilst being a proponent of current software development best practice
  • Experience in defect triage and effective defect management approaches and techniques
  • Demonstratable experience of software coding (specifically.
NET, C# and Python), coding patterns and standards

  • Prior experience using requirement, defect and test management tools (e.g. Jira, TargetProcess, ALM, Rational Quality Manager etc.)

Experience/Skills:


  • Vast prior experience with both commercial or opensource software test automation and/or service virtualisation tools
  • Indepth knowledge and previous experience with software build tools and scripting (e.g. Team City, Bamboo, Jenkins, BitBucket, GitHub, Ansible or Terraform)
  • Prior exposure to nonfunctional, automated, verification approaches (e.g. Cybersecurity, Load, Performance, Usability, Accessibility)
  • Prior experience verifying software across different platform technologies (e.g. MS-Windows, Linux, Unix, mobile, cloud etc.)
  • Prior experience working in a highly regulated environment, or medical device industry shall be highly regarded
