The Opportunity:

Hall Contracting are now looking for experienced, trade qualified

Mechanical Tradespeople to assist with the maintenance and repairing of the company's range of marine and civil equipment. These positions are based

in Port Hedland

.

The Benefits:


  • Full time positions on a longterm project set to end late 202
  • Residential OR FIFO opportunity
  • 2/1 roster (1 week days, 1 week nights and 1 week off)
  • Exposure to a wide variety of civil and marine equipment
  • Be a part of one of the biggest marine projects in the Southern Hemisphere

Key Responsibilities:


  • Undertaking mechanical repairs and refurbishment as required
  • Identifying reliability issues & improvements.
  • Conducting regular planned mechanical maintenance and repairs as requested.
  • Responding to and addressing equipment breakdowns in an appropriate time frame.
  • Adhering to all OHS Policies & Procedures at all times and ensuring safety is not compromised.
  • Positively contributing to the workplace culture and actively engaging

About You:


  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate or other Fitter qualification (essential)
  • Post trade experience on civil earthmoving equipment (large excavators and mobile plant)
  • Exposure to marine equipment (dredges, barges, vessels etc.) is an advantage
  • Hydraulic systems, propulsion systems and pump experience would be beneficial
  • Strong organisational, multitasking and prioritising skills
  • Ability to work in highly compliant environments, with a commitment to health, safety, community and the environment
  • Must be willing to learn and come to work with a positive attitude
