About the Role:

Internal career progression has opened the door for an exciting opportunity in our Cancer Services portfolio, with a

permanent full time State Manager role available.

The role exists to lead the successful operational management of the radiation and medical oncology/haematology services in Western Australia.

Reporting to the CEO of Icon Cancer Centres ANZ, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership to all teams within these sites, in a coordinated and integrated approach ensuring the provision of quality cancer care services across the portfolio and nationally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed business plans for Portfolio of Sites in collaboration with Site Managers and CEO
  • Work with executive and medical management to identify and maintain a strong Doctor workforce at each site and across the Portfolio.
  • Proactively manage performance to budget and KPIs for the Portfolio of Sites, supporting Site Managers with immediate actions to address variances
  • Develop, undertake and lead business development activities to maintain and grow the business at each Site.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of each site's operations to support Site Managers as required with issues arising in the daytoday management of their sites.
  • Develop a high performing team of Site Managers through quality performance management
  • Ensure an ongoing focus on operational improvements that enhance the quality of service

Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership of multisite business and organisational management in a healthcare business
  • Demonstrated achievement of financial results where performance consistently met or exceeded KPIs
  • Strong business acumen including managing P&L and site/s financial performance in line with set budgets and KPIs
  • Deep analytical ability to identify trends and critical issues
  • Understanding of cancer care and modes of service delivery
  • Understanding of Private Health sector funding models
  • Demonstrated leadership and human resources skills including workforce planning
  • Clear understanding of the legal and regulatory environment
  • Proven negotiation, influencing and change management skills
  • Previous experience developing new partnerships and networking new opportunities
