Description
You will support the progression of business needs through the various phases of a project i.e. project initiation, procurement/development and delivery. You will contribute to the development of project documents, business cases, procurement documents (i.e. RFI and RFQs) and other strategic documents. You will develop and maintain solution requirements, design documents, design options papers and testing documents.

As a Systems Analyst you will be required to engage both technical SMEs and business clients to collect, clarify, and document both functional and non-functional solution requirements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into well written, unambiguous functional and nonfunctional requirements and provide sound technical advice to developers enabling the delivery of a solution that meets operational needs.
  • Develop business and software requirements specifications for ICT projects, ensuring traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with test team members to ensure business/software requirements are incorporated into testing products and scenarios to support quality testing.
  • Contribute to and participate in peer review of business processes, architectures, designs and project plans in line with business objectives and raise any potential risks or issues.
  • Liaise and build cohesive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure a consistent, coordinated and effective provision of quality services.
  • Identify impacts and undertake risk management by escalating appropriate issues or concerns for consideration to the Executive Manager.
  • Facilitate meetings / workshops with stakeholders to review requirements and deliverables and resolve issues and risks.
  • Identify, develop and evaluate strategies that enable continuous improvement of solutions used by Court Services Queensland.
  • Identify impacts or changes required to solutions due to legislative, policy or procedural changes.
  • Assist the business with the prioritisation of change requests.
