Where you'll be working

Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region.

What you'll be doing

The Pregnancy Connect Care Coordinator is responsible for facilitating the planning, implementation and reporting to ensure integration of consultation, referral and transfer pathways across local health districts and within and across relevant Tiered Perinatal Network/s.

The Pregnancy Connect Care Coordinator will work in partnership with healthcare providers, including maternity and other health specialties, within their local health district and Tiered Perinatal Network, and the Ministry of Health to achieve the aims of Pregnancy Connect.

To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.


Selection Criteria:


  • Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with recent relevant experience and/or tertiary qualifications as deemed appropriate by WSLHD.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the clinical and social needs of pregnant women and their families with complex care requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate, inspire and organise staff to achieve organisational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of principles and processes of project management, change management and awareness of issues that may occur as part of organisational change.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills, with ability to write reports and correspondence, as well as the ability to design and conduct professionallevel presentations, including for educational purposes.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to forge partnerships at all levels both internal and external to the organisation, manage conflict and negotiate resolutions.
