A key front-line opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional Receptionist to become an integral part of our Southern Cross Care team at our Central Office located in Glenside.


About the role


Responsible for the delivery of accurate, efficient and timely front line reception and administrative duties to support Southern Cross Care's Corporate Office.


The Receptionist provides a professional, courteous and customer focused reception and administrative support service to residents, families, staff and the public.

About you
We are looking for people who will be the difference in the lives of our residents and clients.

  • Greet all visitors to the site in a warm, courteous and professional manner
  • Answer telephone calls promptly and professionally and direct callers to appropriate
persons, including dialling of external numbers as requested

  • Promptly respond to and direct enquiries, consistent with SCC's customer service
principles

  • Provide efficient word processing and clerical services for the corporate office such as mail merges, name tag creation, production of certificates and maintenance of phone register as directed by the Manager CEO's Office
  • Collect and distribute mail and other correspondence / deliveries in a timely manner
  • Maintaining site office administrative stationery store, mail room and the distribution
of all mail as required, within agreed timeframes

  • Experience in dealing with clients in sensitive and difficult situations
  • Experience in dealing with clients/public and a multiline telephone switchboard
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, as is experience in the aged care industry or a not for profit organisation.
