What you'll be doing:


Blue Mountains Hospital is seeking a Full Time Permanent applicant to work in the Medical Administration Office, reporting to the Coordinator Medical Administration.


This Medical Administration position manages both senior and junior medical workforce including reviewing the medical rosters and working with medical agencies to fulfill roster shortfalls.

Working as the central contact for medical staff, you will be providing feedback regarding the hospital placement, accommodation and other issues, as well as providing administrative support for Junior and Senior medical recruitment processes.


Your role will update medical rosters and distribute to appropriate personnel as required, actively contribute to the cohesive functioning of the medical work force team and work autonomously and in a team environment to achieve positive outcomes.


You will ensure that delegation of matters to appropriate personnel/managers/Heads of Departments in relation to medical workforce and present a professional customer service-orientated approach, maintaining and respecting confidentiality of persons and information managed within the office and adhere to the NSW code of conduct.


This role will see you will demonstrate high level communication skills incorporating the abilities of courtesy, diplomacy and confidentiality along with excellent customer service focus skills.

Selection criteria to be addressed:


  • Demonstrated senior clerical experience, including reception experience working in a high volume executive team
  • Demonstrated effective customer service experience
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Proven ability to independently organise work priorities, monitor workflow and meet busy work schedules
  • Ability to maintain spreadsheets and databases and provide regular monthly reports
  • Demonstrated extensive experience using Windows based software including databases and experience in using MS Office and HPRM
