THE ROLE
A Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an inside sales position that focuses on creating new opportunities. Instead of closing business, an SDR specialises in outreach.

They are often the first touchpoint in the customer journey, connecting with and qualifying inbound leads and using a variety of channels to identify and create interest with potential new clients.


SDRs are an essential part of the SaaS sales model as they actively generate new opportunities and fuel a company's growth.


WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE ROLE?

  • Research businesses, individuals and industries to identify potential new customers.
  • Build a thorough understanding of Sova Assessment's business, offerings and competitors.
  • Meet with potential new customers to gauge interest and qualify suitability.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to continuously improve outbound strategy.
  • Maintain the CRM systems, logging all sales activity and client information in the appropriate locations.
  • Follow standard operating procedures from lead generation through to opportunity handover.
  • Work with your manager and colleagues to improve team effectiveness and individual technique.
  • You may also be expected to perform various additional tasks as necessitated to suit the needs of the business.

Experience required

  • Working knowledge of the SoftwareasaService (SaaS) business model and industry.
  • A strong understanding of and experience in the HR technology industry and specifically in the digital assessment and recruitment space.
  • 12 years of sales experience
