Our client is seeking to engage a Relationship and Compliance Manager on a perm, full time contract.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers and contractors ensuring requirements and commitments are effectively managed
  • Develop and implement a compliance calendar ensuring all critical milestones and reporting obligations are captured and assigned Create and regularly review/ report on the compliance strategy for operational assets derived from the OEMP, legal requirements, company processes and standards or similar documentation
  • Rollout and maintain internal compliance with the company internal management system (IMS). Ensuring there are adequate tools in place or making recommendations to meet the compliance requirements of the company
  • Provide training and guidance in relation to quality procedures (IMS), ensuring the site teams are informed of their responsibilities and the requirements to remain compliant.
  • Develop and maintain the company compliance register
  • Deliver monthly reporting, tracking progress on yearly compliance commitments and progress against the company strategic plan
  • Work with the community engagement officer(s) to ensure compliance is maintained and information is captured, documented and if required put into the site compliance register. Assist where necessary in the development of an action plan to rectify issues and noncompliances
  • Support the operations team by highlighting areas of weakness and assisting with implementing improvement actions
  • Develop and implement an internal audit strategy covering asset compliance, site processes and procedures and our corporate compliance requirements and obligations
  • Consult with the Community Engagement team to ensure compliance against all community support agreements is being recorded and achieved
  • Work with both internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to government departments, council, legal, site teams, landowners ensuring commitments are communicated and achieved
  • Participate in the review of contracts/conditions for operational sites. These may include operational maintenance contracts, PPA off taker contracts, community commitment plans in order to assist with lessons learnt and continuous improvement
  • Assist when directed by the company in acquiring and maintaining ISO certifications, working within the framework set up by the company.
  • Carry out all reasonable requests set by the company aligning with your roles and responsibilities

Skills and Experience:

  • Professional Experience - Minimum of 5 years working in a similar role with demonstrated experience in compliance and risk management. You will have the ability to work with various stakeholders from all levels. You will be able to lead by example and drive positive outcomes embedding an initiative-taking culture towards compliance management
  • Specific Knowledge
  • Qualification risk and compliance management desirable
  • Knowledge in systems management standards ISO 9001, 14001, 4500
  • In depth knowledge of industry standards and regulation
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience with reporting and record keeping
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is advantageous
  • Experience conducting compliance audits
  • Ability to build and foster good relationships
  • A selfstarter with attention to detail
  • C class driver's license
