About you
As our Faculty Officer, you'll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with well-developed organisational acumen and problem-solving skills.

Your ability to work independently and as part of a small team, along with your strong stakeholder management skills, will ensure your success in the role.


You'll also possess the following:
relevant tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience providing secretariat support to committees and/or boards.

experience in a similar role, with a particular focus on supporting advocacy activities by collating and summarising stakeholder responses, preparing briefing papers and submissions, and scheduling meetings with key influential members of parliament.

demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and implement processes to track, collate, and monitor faculty engagement and advocacy activities.
the ability to work after-hours and on weekends as required to deliver the key responsibilities of the role.
About the opportunity

Reporting to the State Manager, you'll play a crucial role to the success of advocacy efforts in the region and ensure quality and compliance of Faculty Council and subcommittee operations, in addition to coordinating RACGP member representatives across the region.


Some of your responsibilities will include:


providing executive secretariat services to the State Manager, Faculty Council and sub committees, including meeting planning, activity scheduling, logistics, and maintaining meeting records.

acting as the point of contact for the Faculty Chair and the State Manager, in response to external stakeholder enquiries or requests for RACGP representation and analyse and action incoming requests to prioritise matters of importance to members.

coordinating the State Manager's diary appointments, records and correspondence, proactively scheduling, organising and prioritising meetings and providing support to facilitate the smooth operation of the faculty office.
