Your new team:


Orygen Specialist Program, a program of The Royal Melbourne Hospital, provides mental health services to young people aged 15-25 and their families/carers in Melbourne's northwest and western suburbs.


  • The Psychosocial Recovery Program aims to support young people to work towards their personal recovery goals. The multidisciplinary team develop and coordinate group programs, family peer support programs, youth participation programs, and the educational and vocational recovery programs.

Your new role:


  • Develop, deliver and evaluate group and individual interventions in collaboration with multidisciplinary team
  • Meet with individual young people, to explore their recovery goals, discuss group programs, and problemsolve barriers to participating, promote recovery, and use principles of Intentional Peer Support
  • Maintain contact with group participants between group sessions, to support continued engagement
  • Provide inclusive and sensitive practice to young people and their families/carers from Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander, CALD and LGBTQIA backgrounds

About you:


  • Lived experience of accessing youth mental health services and ability to share experiences in a recovery focused way
  • Experience in delivering peer work in mental health, ideally in a youthspecific setting
  • Passion, energy and determination to make a difference to the health outcomes for young people
  • Qualifications/training in mental health are desirable but not required
