An exciting opportunity now exists to join the CSSD department at Yarra Ranges, Day Surgery Unit on a temporary full-time basis for 24 weeks, as an Instrument Technician Grade 5, with no after hours, on-call or weekend service between Monday to Friday.

You will be joining an enthusiastic team who have quality patient care and teamwork as their priority.

The unit consists of two modern and well equipped theatres within the Yarra Ranges site and forms a part of the wider Eastern Health Surgical Program.

Theatre lists include Ophthalmology, Oculoplastics, General, Urology, Gynaecology and Plastic Surgery. Potential for ongoing recruitment at EH.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:
A current Certificate 4 in Health - Sterilising Practice for Technicians and greater than 4 years' experience (full time equivalent) as an Instrument Technician

Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience

A strong commitment to high quality care

The ability to work as part of a diverse team

Excellent communication and organisational skills

Vaccination against infectious disease is a mandatory requirement of this role.

Essential:
Certificate 4 in Sterilisation Services and greater than 4 years' experience (full time equivalent) as an IT
