As the General Manager, Financial Reporting you'll be a senior member of the wider Accounting team working within our global Finance team.
What you'll do
:
- Oversee the production of the financial statements included in Xero's ASX filings, ensuring that market disclosures provide meaningful insight for investors and analysts.
- Own the production of finance reporting to the Audit Committee, providing clear and insightful information.
- Oversee the development of Xero's financial reporting to respond to changes to the Group and the environment in ensuring Xero is not only compliant, but market leading.
- Manage the relationship with Xero's external auditor, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
- Be the expert for technical accounting matters across Xero, being an advisor to the business, and leveraging external advisors as appropriate.
- Provide strategic input into ad hoc transactions as they occur, including M&A, capital raises and partnerships, ensuring financial accounting implications are appropriately considered.
- Lead the production of communications with regulators as it relates to Xero's financial reporting as and when required.
- Oversee the evolution of Xero's ESG reporting strategy, working closely with Xero's ESG team, and ensuring compliance with applicable climate related reporting regulations as these are adopted globally.
- Lead a team that manages biannual controls reviews across the wider finance organisation.
- Present to the audit and risk management committee as required.
Experience you'll bring with you
:
- 10+ years' experience in senior finance roles, either in a large corporate or big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting skills and experience in dealing with complex transactions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Appropriate qualification, for example CA or equivalent
