About the role

  • We have a Contract Role for a Team Leader
  • Asset Commissioning in our Asset Management Services Team to lead one of our two teams of Commissioning Managers and to also perform Commissioning Management services on new assets. The duties are expected to be split 70/30 between office and fieldbased work.
  • As a Team Leader, you will work with the other Team Leads to assign incoming work to your team, undertake mentoring, performance assessments, development planning and daytoday team meetings.
  • As an experienced Commissioning Manager yourself, you will play a lead role in keeping our commissioning processes uptodate. You will train and advise both internal and external stakeholders and contractors on these processes.
  • This role will report to the Manager
  • Asset Management Services and will involve occasional regional travel and site attendance.

What the role will offer

  • Lead an experienced team of multidisciplined Commissioning Manager's to deliver commissioning services to a large program of infrastructure projects across Western Australia
  • Represent the Water Corporation as the Principal's Commissioning Manager in Major Capital Projects
  • Responsible for ensuring the Water Corporation's required Performance and Functional testing is completed for all new assets as part of the above program of work.
  • Network with a broad range of stakeholders both with in the Water Corporation and in the Water Infrastructure industry in Western Australia
  • Technical input to review of various design and asset handover documents for the projects
  • A unique mix of leadership and field engineering work
  • Preparation and review of commissioning plans, procedures, test plans and schedules
  • Functional review of SCADA & Control systems
  • Coordination of technical teams undertaking commissioning tests
  • Preparation of commissioning reports

Key skills and experience

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering / Science discipline or equivalent experience
  • Infrastructure or Process Plant Commissioning experience
  • Technical Team Leadership Experience
  • Strong Stakeholder Relationship Management and Communications Skills
  • Design and/or operating experience with water treatment and/or pumping assets
  • Project management experience desirable
  • Construction safety awareness qualifications
  • Strong familiarity with process control and SCADA systems
  • Water or wastewater infrastructure operating experience will be desirable
