APS - Executive Assistant (several positions):

The National Library is seeking to fill several
Executive Assistant roles at the APS 5 level, each working across one or two Senior Executives in our various branches.

These roles are available on an ongoing basis.

As part of the Library's team, you will help support organisational reform, working collaboratively with your team to shape the Library's future.


These roles are essential support roles responsible for providing timely, efficient and effective high level office administration and executive support to various Senior Executives across the Library.

As an Executive Assistant you will act as the first point of contact for a Branch Executive and will work closely with other Executive Assistants.

You will be required to create and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships.


Supporting our Senior Executives, you will be required to undertake some research and analysis activities, communicate and provide advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you will have exceptional attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.


Skills and experience
To see you succeed in this role it is highly desirable that you have:

  • 2 years of experience in an Executive Assistant, office manager or equivalent role.
  • Exceptional organisational and problemsolving skills.
  • Sound judgement in triaging and escalating issues appropriately.
