Are you up for the challenge?:

We are currently looking to appoint a
Submissions Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

Reporting to the Group Manager Submissions VIC/SA/TAS/NZ, you will be responsible for managing the production of EOI and Tender submissions to secure new business as well as contribute to overall bid strategy and completion of submissions.


You, along with your team of coordinators and designers, will produce exceptional quality submissions and development documents spanning our business across Rail, Building, Infrastructure and Major Projects, tailored to the requirements of the client.

You will contribute to the overall bid strategy, coordination, implementation, control and completion of submissions, ensuring consistency with JHG strategy and branding.


You will be creative, analytical, excellent at managing timelines, enjoy supporting multi-disciplinary bid teams and managing multiple internal and external stakeholder expectations, expert at pulling apart and rebuilding documents, and have the ability to maintain pace and momentum.


About the Role:


  • Manage the endtoend production of EOI's, tenders and other publications from concept to delivery
  • Manage direct submission resources including the identification of skill and resource requirements necessary to undertake activities and develop resource plans
  • Provide coaching in persuasive writing and submission best practice
  • Working with Subject Matter Experts and writers to develop content specific to EOI and tenders.
  • Assist in the proofing, editing and writing of documents
  • Assist in the development of key messaging / bid strategy
  • Ensure a high attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness
  • Assist with graphic layouts for submissions, design reports, boards and PowerPoint presentations
  • Ensure documentation is thoroughly prepared and reviewed by relevant parties and provision is made for the incorporation of updates and revisions
  • Develop sustainable relationships with a key range of stakeholders, both internal and external (i.e. Alliance/ Joint Venture partners and consultants) and influence a broad range of working styles and personalities
  • Work to best practice submission guidelines and protocols within the bid team
  • Flexibility in working extra hours as required sometimes at short notice
