This position can be located at the NFSA in Sydney (Pyrmont) or Canberra (Acton). Contract is for 18 months with a possible 18-month extension.


About the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia
The NFSA is Australia's audiovisual cultural institution.

The NFSA collection includes over 4 million items including films, television and radio programs, videos, audio recordings and video games.

The collection also includes contextual materials such as costumes, scripts, props, artefacts, photographs and promotional materials. Public programs and services ensure that the collection is available for enjoyment, learning, research and for re-use by creators. In the digital age, the NFSA's wealth of stories will be increasingly available across the country, and on demand.

Under broad direction, the Digital Audience Manager will:

  • Help create a successful and enjoyable experience for NFSA's digital audiences, ensuring that each touchpoint of their journey is effective, frictionless and engaging.
  • Champion audience experience in Digital Product Working Groups and participate in digital product development projects endtoend.
  • Act as a conduit/liaise with the rest of the Marketing & Communications team on their contributions to Digital Product development, ensuring that products can be released on schedule and on budget.
  • Brief and provide support to marketing colleagues and key stakeholders on gotomarket strategies for new digital products.
  • Assess the audience response to new NFSA digital product developments.
  • Working with the Manager, Data & Insights evaluate and analyse audience behaviour on current platforms, identifying gateways, pain points and opportunities for growth.
  • Deliver audience insights to marketing, content and communication teams, to bolster campaign planning and content creation decision making.
  • Responsible for audience journey mapping, with consideration of different audience segments.
  • Identify strategies to optimise referrals to the website. Boost referrals through the development and implementation of SEO and SEM strategies.
  • Travel to Canberra or Sydney will be required depending on location.

Desired Skills and Experience:


Qualifications and/or equivalent experience required:


  • 10+ years' digital customer experience and/or digital marketing experience.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification.

Eligibility

  • Be an Australian Citizen
  • Satisfactorily complete an Australian Federal Police National Police Check

Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrable experience as customer experience (CX) lead for digital products, or digital product marketing lead with a track record of success.
  • Demonstrable customer journey mapping experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a particular focus on web and customer analytics
  • Excellent understanding of SEO and SEM
  • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with effective project management and time management skills.
  • An interest in audiovisual culture.
