We are looking for a
Specialist Management and Integration to work with the Operational Readiness team at Rhodes Ridge on a very exciting project that is currently in the early stages of study.

This role is a great opportunity to provide technical assistance, support, and expert advice on practices across operational readiness including developing, coaching and mentoring other professionals and supporting the decision-making processes of leadership.

Reporting to the
Manager Project Readiness and Delivery key accountabilities for this position will be but not limited to:

  • Actively foster and communicate a positive safety culture to promote safety awareness and compliance, encouraging prioritisation of safety in all activities and operations
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, evaluating and implementing improvement opportunities utilising a range of Rio Tinto best practice
  • Provide appropriate coaching, mentoring and technical support to project readiness
  • Implement and communicate the project readiness execution plan as scheduled with a focus on project management elements, cost, schedule, risk management and reporting
  • Integrate project presence and work streams into operations business planning processes and work management activities and scheduling
  • Ensure project readiness risks are identified and recorded on the projects risk register and assigned actions are updated
  • Manage the operational interface with the project during construction and handover
  • Integration of project scope and cocommitments into the operations plans
This is a permanent position working Monday to Friday out of the Rio Tinto offices in the Perth CBD.

There will be flexibility to work from home on occasional days and ad hoc travel to site in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.


About you
To be successfully considered for this role, applicants will have:

  • Project management and delivery capability including scoping, planning, scheduling, cost estimation and resource planning gained within large scale mining operations or similar heavy industry
  • Knowledge of business improvement methodologies and practices
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills with ability to influence and engage confidently across multiple stakeholders
  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Business or similar is preferred
