About the Role

Reporting to the Delivery Program Leader as part of the Specialised Services team who, you will be assisting in the delivery of operations and maintenance related works and services supporting best value for Sydney Water through the management and utilisation of multi-million-dollar contracts.

Your key activities will include planning and coordinating the delivery of works and services, verification and processing of payment claims, contract management, project management, site inspections and supervision, plus data analysis and reporting.

Ensure the delivery of the work programs, services and assigned projects on time and within approved budget. Be actively involved in the coordination, scoping, methodology and allocation of works, and monitor completion.
Contribute to the completion of procurement activities (development of procurement strategy, contract documentation, tender evaluation and onboarding of contractors).
Assist in the administration of contracts including verifying and processing payments claims, evaluating performance, contract variations, cost adjustments, contract extensions and dispute resolution.
Develop a thorough understanding of the nature of the works and associated costs in order to determine the most costeffective method to complete the works, meeting customer and stakeholder and environmental requirements

About you

Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science, and/or 3+ years relevant contract / project management experience, and/or relevant water industry construction or maintenance experience.
Valid NSW Drivers licence or ability to obtain one.
Knowledge in project and contract management, including an understanding of compliance, probity and audit requirements and how they relate to commercial contracts.
Very good written and verbal communications skills, including listening and interpretation.
Experience in ensuring work programs are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to a quality supported by a strong audit methodology and continuous improvement ethos.
Experience in managing multiple work programs concurrently and prioritisng tasks
