We are currently looking for a Rail Track worker to join our team based in Seven Hills, initially in a casual arrangement and develop as a rail professional.

The purpose of this role is to carry out general labouring and track construction/maintenance duties within the Sydney Metropolitan area.

As a railway worker you will work alongside experienced workers in completing construction work, general labouring and inspections within the rail corridor.


Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Work under supervision, following instructions at all times, and within a team to assist in delivering programmed works including renewing wooden sleepers, spotting and replacing rail
  • Driving light/medium vehicles to/from site
  • Work within your skills and competency levels
  • Demonstrate good written and oral communication skills
  • Participate in site safety inspections, audits and tool box meetings
  • Raise any potential safety issues to leading hand or supervisor
  • Ensure compliance with IMP, OH&S, Environmental Plans and Railway Safety Legislation requirements where necessary
  • Follow safety instructions and procedures from leading hand/supervisor
  • Secure and maintain, in a fit for purpose state all tools, material items and spare parts issued for the performance of work on behalf of the CRN
  • Participate in projects and undertake other duties as directed.
  • Actively involved in some overnight travel as part of the position
  • Complete various training packages as part of role development
  • White Card / construction industry car
  • C Class driver licence
  • Construction experience (desirable)
  • Exception Teamwork and communication skills
  • Previous Rail Experience (desirable)
