As an Estimating Manager, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to the growth and success of the business.


Your New Role:


As the Estimating Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a team of estimators and ensuring the seamless handling of both office-based and on-site estimating tasks.

Your expertise will contribute to the increased efficacy of our operations, and you will have the opportunity to mentor and lead other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and development.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee and manage a team of estimators, ensuring their productivity, accuracy, and adherence to company standard
  • Conduct thorough estimations for commercial and residential insurance projects, both from the office and onsite, considering all relevant factors and ensuring the accuracy of estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to analyze project requirements, timelines, and budgets, providing valuable insights to support decisionmaking processes.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality for all estimations, reviews, and reports, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize estimating processes and implement best practices to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Act as a mentor and leader for the estimating team, fostering a positive and growthoriented environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
  • Interact with clients and stakeholders, addressing any queries or concerns related to estimations, and building strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Proven experience as an estimator within the insurance industry
  • Management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of both residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools, preferably Prime but not required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Trade background (carpentry) preferable
  • Strong computer knowledge is required
